Hi Katey
I have a question or rather a few
What is the difference between all the taekwondo styles ?
Is one better than the others?
Which one if any is the easiest to get to black belt ?
Just wondering
There are a few TKD styles, Mudo, WTF and ITF. All are based on the same foundations however, ITF fighting is semi contact and emphasis is much more on front leg techniques than WTF. WTF Taekwondo is what is recognised by the Kukkiwon in Korea and is full contact sport fighting and the rules are that that are fought in the Olympics.
Mudo on the other hand was developed by Grand Master Kim Yong Ho, 9th Dan, President of the World Taekwonmudo Academy (WTA). This focuses on the technical traditional side of the martial art that 95% of Taekwondo pracitioners need. Mudo translated means ‘Spirit of the Martial Art’ and not only is it the techniques that are high quality but it is also the way you approach your training that is key. Go to my website for more information if you are interested. Hope this helps.
Thanks
So just out of curiosity is one easier than another.
Not that I would be moving
There is no such thing as an easy martial art, all are the same to learn! Good luck with your training.
